BJ Sprogservice - professional language services
I am a proven interpreter and offer both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting. I have many years of experience as a court interpreter, and as an interpreter at conferences and in conference-like situations, including annual general meetings, board meetings and receptions.
Simultaneous interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting is delivered more or less simultaneously with the original speech and is often the preferred mode of interpreting in conferences and in conference-like situations. Simultaneous interpreting typically requires an interpreting booth equipped with headphones and a microphone, but it is possible to use the headphones and the microphone without the booth. Finally, simultaneous interpreting can be whispered: I speak in a low voice so that only people who are right next to me can hear what I say.
Consecutive interpreting
Consecutive interpreting is delivered after a speaker has finished speaking and is often the preferred mode of interpreting in dialogue situations, including medical consultations, courtroom questionings, job interviews and business negotiations. Consecutive interpreting is also used in conferences and conference-like situations, but the mode is more time-consuming than simultaneous interpreting.
